Train hard when you're ready, back off when you're not

Your watch already knows you slept five hours and your HRV dropped 15%. MyCoach Ed is the app that does something with it — a daily training readiness score that decides how hard today should be, before you find out the hard way under a bar.

One score, 0-100, every morning

MyCoach Ed syncs your sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, steps, and active energy automatically, then combines them with your recent training load into a single readiness score from 0 to 100. High score? Green light for the heavy session on your plan. Low score? Your coach tells you why — short sleep, suppressed HRV, an elevated resting heart rate — and adjusts today's session to match, swapping in recovery work when your body needs it.

ACWR: the load metric pro teams use

Underneath the score sits the acute-to-chronic workload ratio — ACWR — the same metric professional sports teams use to manage injury risk. It compares what you've done this week against what your body is conditioned for over the past month. Ramp volume too fast and the ratio climbs into overreaching territory; your coach flags it before it turns into a strain, a stall, or three weeks of junk sessions. It works the other way too: if you've been coasting, the data says you can push.

Deloads timed by data, not by calendar

Most programs schedule a deload every fourth week whether you need it or not. MyCoach Ed watches the signals that actually predict when you need one — readiness trending down, HRV suppressed for days, lifts stalling while volume stays high — and prescribes the deload when the data calls for it. Your periodized plan already includes recovery phases; readiness data is what moves them to the right week.

  • 7-day trend charts for sleep, resting HR, HRV, and steps
  • A muscle recovery map showing which groups are fatigued, recovering, or ready
  • Recovery warnings when high volume, low calories, and poor sleep stack up

Feel and data, reconciled

Sometimes you feel fine and your body disagrees. Sometimes you feel wrecked and you're actually recovered. An HRV training approach settles the argument with numbers: your morning check-in pairs how you feel with what the data says, and your coach makes the call — push, maintain, or back off. Over a 12-week block, getting those calls right is worth more than any single workout.

Stop guessing how recovered you are

Sync your watch, get a daily readiness score, and let your coach time the hard days — and the deloads — for you.
